The most wonderful Devon Sproule joins Marc for a live session this evening. Her new single Good To Get Out is released on the 5th of October. Devon was born in Canada but moved to the US early in her childhood and nurtured her musical roots in Virginia. Over the past two years Sproule's star has been in the ascendancy both here and in the US. She has toured with Woodstock giant Richie Havens, Lambchop frontman Kurt Wagner, opened two nights at the O2 for Lucinda Williams and played all the key festival stages from Cambridge to Glastonbury. She was the first American artist to feature on the cover of fROOTS magazine in a decade. Her current album Don't Hurry For Heaven was recorded, for the most part, in the UK and features her regular touring band including legendary pedal steel player BJ Cole. It was produced by Sproule's guitarist, songwriter and burgeoning producer hubby Paul Curreri at Far Heath Studios in Northamptonshire.
