Tonight in session we've got John Lawrence .. yet another Gorky ..we're going for the lot. John Lawrence started his solo music career after leaving Gorkys Zygotic Mynci in 1999. He is well known for his intense and melodic acoustic folk-rock set of his own compositions, accompanied by Llyr Parry, on an unusual combination of bass guitar, kick drum and hi hat. His latest album 'Rainy Night' was released in November 2009 on his own label, Lawrence Music. Currently residing in his home and recording studio in the heart of Snowdonia, John is a successful record producer, and finds time to work on his own material in a dramatic and inspiring setting at the foot Tryfan, a very impressive and challenging mountain. He also organizes many free concerts and festivals to promote live music in what is a very musically vibrant area.
