Hold onto your hats - we've got the Wedding Present live in session. Plus, because it's a Tuesday Cowboy Rob Hughes and his Americana tunes. The Wedding Present are a bit of a national treasure, even if these days leader David Gedge is more likely to be spotted in Hollywood than Leeds. They've had eighteen UK Top 40 hit singles (including, famously, one per month in 1992, equalling Elvis Presley's 35 year old record for "most hits in one year") and have released a stream of classic albums. In 2007 they celebrated the twentieth anniversary of one of these classics, "George Best" by touring it around Europe. This winter they're doing the same with 1990's Bizarro (and this time Japan and North America get to join in the fun). In between the Weddos have released the Steve Albini produced "El Rey", while Gedge himself has made his debut as a radio DJ in Texas, launched his own mini-festival in Brigton and returned to Leeds to collaborate with the BBC Big Band at the biannual "Fuse" festival.
