Live in session tonight we've got Ex Gorky Zygotic Mynci going it alone ... Richard James. Richard James is the former bass player and co founder of the Welsh band 'Gorky's Zygotic Mynci'. Raised in Carmarthen, West Wales, the band was formed in 1991 by a group of schoolmates. Singing in Welsh and English they are regarded as one of the most original bands to emerge from Wales. Richard released his first solo album 'The Seven Sleepers Den' in 2006 when the band split up. This album was a collection of love songs sung in English and occasionally in Welsh. Now based in Cardiff, Richard releases his second album 'We Went Riding' in June. This album features some of Cardiff's finest musicians including Cate Le Bon and former bandmate Euros Childs.
