On the eve of their UK tour, Simon Emmerson's Imagined Village project give their take on traditional songs Cold Hailey Rainy Night and Welcome Sailor. There's also festive drumming from Palermo, rarely heard music from the 17th century by Denis Gaultier, played by lutenist Anthony Bailes, and a new Strathclyde motet by James MacMillan, sung by Cappella Nova.
