The programme reflects on people of distinction and interest from many walks of life, some famous and some less well known. Marking the lives of politician Piers Merchant, gardener Pamela Schwerdt, Ottoman dynasty leader Osman Ertugrul Osmanoglu, Lucy Vodden (the subject of The Beatles classic Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds) and Spanish pianist Alicia de Larrocha.
