Stella comes outside whilst Alvin is breakfasting - she's sniffed out a smoker in town. Aunty Wainwright warns Tom that hes going to have to cut down on the bacon butties. Hobbo decides that the still homeless Howard needs to show Pearl who's boss, but Pearl slams the door in his face. Meanwhile Marina has thinks she's might find full time commitment with Mr Waddle and decides to seize the moment. Toby pines after his wife and his jag, but doesn't want anyone to know, whilst Barry is distracted by his hunger - Glenda's still got him on a diet. PC's Cooper and Walsh pull over Tom in the milk float for driving too slowly, but end up sharing his bacon butties. The ladies gossip in the cafe that Pearl has thrown Howard out, when he enters with the men. Hobbo tells him it's all about his rights as a man. Marina dressed to kill, tells Miss Davenport that she's going to help upgrade her appearance. Hobbo tells the despondent Howard that he needs to remind Pearl of how he used to entertain her, so Howard performs a bicycle trick outside her window. The men egg him on until the inevitable spill so he continues with a little dance routine until Pearl throw a bucket of water over him. Marina decides to tell Mr Waddle it's marriage or nothing, and he drives off leaving her behind. The PCs go for a joy ride in the milk float leaving Tom behind to deal with emergencies over the radio. Hobbo persuades Howard to trampoline outside Pearl's bedroom window that night, but it doesn't quite go to plan and Howard and Hobbo end up settling down in Hobbo's bedroom for the night.
