In the first quarter-final, the four heat winners battle it out to be the best cook in the country. Faced with a mystery dish of Thai soup, which of these four recognise all the main ingredients and can anyone detect the lemongrass? With only two semi-final places up for grabs, the competition gets serious as they go all out to dazzle presenters John Torode and Nadia Sawalha with their two-course menus. Torn between top dishes including salmon sushi, fishcakes and Eton Mess, it's a really tough decision as to who goes through.
