Four hopefuls, shortlisted from 2000 aspiring chefs, battle it out to be the best young cook in the country. After a masterclass in the perfect pear tart from top chef John Torode it's the four cooks' turns. Whose dessert will launch Torode and Nadia Sawalha into sweet orbit? With a quarter-final place up for grabs, the competition gets tougher as the contestants whip up their tastiest food.
