Jez Nelson presents a gig by drummer and composer John Hollenbeck's group the Claudia Quintet. Renowned for their eclectic twists through free-jazz, post-bop and spatial minimalism, the quintet features top names from the New York scene: Trevor Dunn (double bass), Matt Moran (vibraphone/percussion), Ted Reichman (accordion) and Chris Speed (clarinet/tenor sax). Formed in 1997, the Claudia Quintet have released four albums of originals by Grammy-nominated composer John Hollenbeck.
