Jez Nelson presents rising star cornet player and composer Taylor Ho Bynum in concert with his sextet at the 2008 Vision Festival in New York. Fast establishing himself as one of the most significant voices on the New York creative music scene, Bynum builds on the style of composition and improvisation pioneered by 20th century masters like Ellington and Ives. The sextet also features Mary Halvorson and Evan O'Reilly on guitar, Jessica Pavone on viola and electric bass, Matt Bauder on tenor sax and clarinet, as well as Tomas Fujiwara on drums.
