Jazz Line-Up - Ryan Quigley Big Band

Claire Martin presents a concert given at the 2009 Glasgow International Jazz Festival by Scottish trumpeter Ryan Quigley with his big band, bringing together the best artists from Scotland and beyond. A mainstay of the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra, he is also well-known for his vibrant and fiery quintet. The concert features Quigley's arrangements for tuba to enrich the lower end of the register. It includes songs such as All or Nothing At All, You Go to My Head and the evergreen All the Things You Are, with Konrad Wiszniewski on tenor sax. Ex-Del Amitri singer Justin Currie was a guest on the set.
