Pianist Herbie Hancock has been at the forefront of jazz since the 1960s, recording with Miles Davis and also with his own groups. In 2008, he appeared in two concerts at the London Jazz festival, and to mark the occasion, Julian Joseph joined Alyn Shipton to select the highlights of Herbie Hancock's recorded work, including the classic albums Takin' Off, Maiden Voyage and Speak Like a Child.
