One of Britain's most famous jazz exports, bassist Dave Holland joined Miles Davis at the age of 21, and since then he has become a world-famous recording artist. He guides Alyn Shipton through his work on disc, including his own trios, quintets and big bands, as well as records with Betty Carter, Herbie Hancock and Kenny Wheeler to help choose the best examples for a jazz library.
