Amateur film footage of Britain gives a moving and intimate view of our social history. This programme features new material and extended versions of the footage shown in the Home Movie Roadshow. The films are set to music with captions to provide a historical context to the home movies. This programme features two sides of the late 70s - the Queen's Silver Jubilee and punk. There's a portrait of family life in the 1930s and amazing footage of from one of the divers on the salvage of Henry VIII's favourite ship, the Mary Rose.
