Amateur film footage of Britain gives a moving and intimate view of our social history. This programme features new material and extended versions of the footage shown in the Home Movie Roadshow. The films are set to music with captions to provide a historical context to the home movies. This programme features life on a Royal Navy aircraft carrier during National Service, the pioneering Dufay Colour stock shown in its full 1930s glory and a comic take on student life in the 1960s.
