For the last decade state spending has been a powerful engine of growth in the UK, but not any more. Prime Minister David Cameron is intent on drastically reducing the size and scope of government which, he says, will allow the private sector to flourish. Richard Lambert is Director General of the Confederation of British Industry. Stephen Sackur asks him whether British business can really deliver investment and growth in an era of public austerity.
