A year on from the Copenhagen climate change summit the world's politicians are trying again. In Cancun, Mexico, they've renewed efforts to find a deal capable of combating man-made global warming. President Mohamed Nasheed of the Maldives is one of the most vocal advocates of urgent action. Rising sea levels could submerge his Indian Ocean islands by the end of this century. Stephen Sackur asks whether it is time to stop hoping for the best and start planning for the worst.
