Michel Kazatchkine, Executive Director, Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria

The annual statistics relating to three of the world's deadliest diseases are grim. Each year roughly 3 million people will get infected with the HIV virus, 13 million will have an active tuberculosis infection and more than 200 million will contract malaria. All this despite tens of billions of dollars being spent on the effort to fight and win the global battle with these diseases. Michel Kazatchkine is the Executive Director of the Global Fund to fight Aids, TB and Malaria. Are we not spending enough, or are we spending it badly? He talks to Stephen Sackur.
