Ingrid Betancourt

Stephen Sackur talks to newsmakers and personalities from across the globe. Kidnapped in 2002 whilst campaigning to become Colombia's president, Ingrid Betancourt was held hostage for more than six years in the Colombian jungle by left-wing guerrillas. She was rescued in an audacious effort by Colombian intelligence. Her focus now, she says, is for the release of the remaining hostages held in the jungle - and she won't rule out running for president again.
