When the history of the unfolding global financial crisis is written, iceland will have a chapter all of its own. In autumn 2008 the so called 'Viking Tiger' became a failed financial state, with its currency in freefall. Geir Haarde was the Prime Minister in the eye of that storm who quite in January 2009 after days of public protest. As he surveys the wreckage of Iceland's broken economy, Stephen Sackur asks whether he is ready to say sorry.
