In America, politics is fast becoming a media blood-sport. The default style for much of the most popular political commentary on TV, radio and the web has become the fury-filled polemic. Conservative commentator Ann Coulter has made a successful career out of causing offence; she dismisses American liberals as Godless traitors and revels in the vitriolic abuse she gets from her political enemies. But is the language of hate corroding America's political culture? She talks to Stephen Sackur.
