Fourteen of the nation's top chefs compete to convince the French that we can match them in gastronomic prowess. Marcus Wareing is defending his title against Mark Broadbent. They have cooked a different course each day for four days, and now they will cook their entire menus and present them to an exacting panel of food experts - Prue Leith, Matthew Fort and Oliver Peyton - who will decide which chef will go on to represent the North in the national final.
