Gary Crowley sits in for Gideon Coe and tonight he dips into the BBC archives to play live tracks from REM, The Cure, The Beatles and Quando Quango. Michael Stipe still had hair when REM played Rock City in 1984. Robert Smith has as much hair now as he had in 1985, the year of The Cure concert we're playing. The Beatles are doing their cheeky chappy stuff for the BBC from 1963 and Quando Quango are in session for John Peel in 1983.
