Squiglet is a monster who lives in a plain white world, which he populates using a magic crayon. Squiglet uses today's curved line to squiggle a monkey called Hiraldo who wants to enter the jungle art competition. The prize is ten bananas! But he doesn't think he's very good at painting! Squiglet is sure he can help, and once he's squiggled Hiraldo's jungle home, he meets the monkey's friends who are all excited about the arrival of the competition's judge, Moo nay, the famous artist! Hiraldo is worried he hasn't even started on his painting yet! Squiglet helps out by squiggling him a paintbrush. But when Hiraldo tries to paint his friend, he just comes out looking like a banana! In fact, all his pictures look like bananas! When Moo nay turns up, excited about the airport he's just flown into, Hiraldo thinks he'll try his hand at painting there. But the planes go by so fast, he's not sure what he's ended up painting! Is it a banana, an aeroplane, or a boomerang?! Squiglet likes it though and a look at the Squiggle Pad suggests putting it in a lovely frame, which they squiggle. When Moo nay sees Hiraldo's painting he's very impressed. A painting of three things at the same time has to get first prize! And Hiraldo gets to share those bananas with everyone!
