Danny Boyle, Oscar-winning director of Slumdog Millionaire, discusses his forthcoming work for the cinema, theatre and the 2012 Olympics, in conversation with Mark Lawson. His new film 127 Hours, based on the true story of a mountain climber who became trapped and made a brave and desperate decision in order to save his life, opens in cinemas this week. Danny Boyle is also directing a new staging of Frankenstein for the National Theatre, as well as starting the preparations for the opening ceremony of the forthcoming Olympics in London.
