Another chance to hear Friday Night Is Music Night from London's Hackney Empire, as Paul Gambaccini introduces Monica Mancini & Friends. The concert stars Monica Mancini, daughter of celebrated film composer Henry Mancini, who has appeared as a concert performer with major symphony orchestras worldwide. She performs much loved standards and tracks from her new album, I've Loved These Days, which features contemporary versions of classic songs. In the second part of the concert, Monica pays tribute to her father, whose extensive repertoire includes film scores for Breakfast At Tiffany and The Pink Panther. The concert also features Sharleen Spiteri, the American saxophonist Dave Koz and the BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Mike Dixon. And during the interval, join Richard Allinson backstage at Hackney Empire as he talks to Michael Feinstein, Sharleen Spiteri, Dave Koz and Ginny Mancini.
