Friday Night is Music Night

The Billy Strayhorn / Duke Ellington story is performed at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival. "Half Way To Dawn" features Guy Barker & his Big Band, plus the BBC Concert Orchestra & conductor Mike Dixon. Special guests Madeline Bell, Ian Shaw and Emma Smith perform classics such as "Lush Life", "Sophisticated Lady", "Jump for Joy" and "Satin Doll" as Clarke Peters and Michael Brandon narrate the story of these two jazz greats.
