The humid conditions at the Sepang circuit, where temperatures can rise to more than 40 degrees Celsius on the track, make the race one of the most gruelling in the calendar. In his debut season in 2007, Lewis Hamilton was second to then team-mate Fernando Alonso but had to settle for fifth last year.
