Fearne Cotton - Wednesday - Lily Allen in the Live Lounge

Lily Allen was in the Live Lounge for Sara Cox today. She’s got a soar throat but still managed to perform her single ‘Who’d Have Known’ and a cover of ‘I’m Outta Time’ by Oasis. She puts it down to working too hard and too many gigs. Lily announced that she’s going to take a year or so off from writing and touring. She’s going to work with her sister to start a new shop where you can hire the latest in fashion without having to pay high prices. She’s also going to look into signing new bands. She explained why her single sounds so similar to Take That’s ‘Shine’: her producer banged out a few new chords for her new track but neither of them had heard ‘Shine’ so didn’t realise the chords were the same. The moment of realisation came when the track was delivered to the record company. So she phoned Take That and checked if they minded her copying it! We get more news from Fearne who’s in Uganda. Today she’s speaking to us from a tea field. She told us about more ways your donations are being used to fight the spread of malaria. And last night before she went to bed, Fearne discovered the African version of X-Factor. She’s now hooked. And in a shock revelation Sara announces that she washes her fringe in the sink every morning. More tomorrow from 10am!
