PGIs, PDOs, TSGs might not mean much to most people, but they do matter to some food producers who spend years striving to achieve protected food name status. This means Melton Mowbray pork pies, Cumberland sausages and Stilton cheese among others can only be made to certain specifications - both culinary and geographical. Charlotte Smith meets some of the farmers and producers who've fought hard to gain this status, and asks Secretary of State, Hilary Benn, why it matters so much.
