Farming Today
09/11/2009
Farmers and landowners are lining up to offer their land for wind turbines; each turbine can earn the landowner around 20,000 pounds a year - but only if planning permission is granted. Charlotte Smith kicks off the programme's in-depth coverage on wind power by speaking to a company which advises farmers how to get the best deals out of wind turbines. Also, it may have been a poor summer for sunbathers but the English cider apple crop has done very well, as Charlotte finds out.
