Two families, the Halsey-Halls from suburbia and the Eliases from the countryside, volunteer to exchange lives for a week, swapping homes, pets, jobs, schools, diet and even house rules. It's all about work and time for the adults to be put through their paces - the world of work soon proves to be a challenge all round.
