Exuberant musical drama about life at New York's High School for the Performing Arts, where a chosen few battle to get to the top of their desired professions. The students include ambitious singer-dancer Coco, wisecracking comedian Ralph, talented dancer Leroy, and keyboard player Bruno, whose taxi-driving father is forever plugging his son's music. The film's score, which includes the hit title song, won an Oscar.
