Escape to the Country

Alistair Appleton is in the Lake District with a young-at-heart outdoor-loving couple looking for a lifestyle change. With retirement looming they are ready to leave their family home of 22 years behind, but after 18 months of house searching they have failed to find their Lakeland dream. With 450,000 pounds to spend, they are looking for a minimum of three bedrooms, an open plan kitchen/diner, a small easily maintained garden and top of their wish-list, a village pub.
