Electric Proms - 2008 - Last Shadow Puppets/Nitin Sawhney

Edith Bowman and Mark Radcliffe present Friday night's musical happenings from venues in two cities - the Roundhouse in London and the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool. Musical maestro Nitin Sawhney presents a feast for the eyes and ears at the Roundhouse, performing highlights from his latest album London Undersound. It promises to be a rich theatrical experience, featuring specially created artwork by Anthony Gormley, an orchestra and special guests including Natacha Atlas and Anoushka Shankar. At the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, Arctic Monkey's Alex Turner and The Rascals' Miles Kane showcase the beautiful sound of The Last Shadow Puppets and their album The Age of the Understatement, accompanied by a 16-piece orchestra.
