Conservative Leader David Cameron comfortably holds on to his Witney constituency and Labour's Alistair Darling is returned for Edinburgh South West. Labour also hold on to Rochdale, where Gillian Duffy, the grandmother at the centre of the 'bigoted woman' furore, lives. Conservatives take Carlisle, Stockton South, Basildon South, High Peak, Crawley, South Ribble, Hastings & Rye, Lincoln, Bedford, Broxtowe, Dartford, Dover, Blackpool North, Loughborough, Derbyshire South, Vale of Glamorgan, Harlow and Aberconwy from Labour. They also win Newton Abbot, Harrogate & Knaresborough, Romsey & Southampton North and Montogomeryshire from the Liberal Democrats with Lembit Opik losing his seat. The Lib Dems hold on to Somerton & Frome and Eastleigh with Chris Huhne holding on to his seat and gain Eastbourne from the Conservatives and Burnley and Redcar (with a swing of 21.8%) from Labour.
