Janine and Ricky stand watching the nurses attend to Pat. Janine grabs a nurse and demands to know what’s wrong, but gets no answer. Ricky becomes agitated and yells at Janine that this is her fault. Janine returns and Ricky tells her that Pat is having an operation. In the hospital chapel, Janine watches someone praying at the altar before kneeling to make a silent prayer herself. Ricky walks in and asks what she is doing to which Janine hesitantly responds saying she’s making peace with God and praying for Pat and if she pulls through she will be there to care for her. Later, the pair learns that Pat has had a pacemaker fitted and is now stable. Janine then walks into Pat’s room, while Ricky tells Pat the deal Janine made about looking after Pat if she got through the operation. Janine tells Pat she meant every word of it. Back at Archie’s graveside, Peggy tells DCI Marsden that she thought Archie was lying to her about the terminal cancer. In the Vic kitchen, Ronnie and Roxy discuss whether the young man – who has introduced himself as Daniel Mitchell - is who he says he is. Wanting answers Ronnie and Roxy return to the lounge to talk to him but he has disappeared. Ronnie and Roxy search the Vic, as the mourners leave, looking for Daniel. As they go outside, Ronnie and Roxy see Danny by the window, staring at Archie’s poster. Danny explains that he is in shock at finding out that he had two sisters he never knew existed. Danny tells them that the last time he visited Glenda she was acting strangely and that Glenda had told him that his father had died years ago. Phil walks in and asks who Danny is so Ronnie and Roxy look at each other and take Phil aside to tell him everything. Phil tells them they need proof that he is Archie’s son and Phil confronts him and asks to see some ID. Danny agrees to Phil’s demands and pulls out his phone to call Glenda at which point Peggy walks in who tells them that Glenda has just arrived. Gathering in the lounge, Glenda tells Danny that she didn’t want him to go to the Vic and Peggy butts in that she doesn’t understand why Glenda never told Danny about all his family. Danny tells Glenda that he wants to stay a few days with Ronnie and Roxy but Glenda says no. Bradley is anxiously looking for Stacey when Max grabs him and wants to show him something. As Stacey approaches Max turns their attention to the new sign over the car lot, ‘Branning and Sons used car dealership’. Inside the office Max is proudly showing off their new equipment which excites Stacey but Bradley seems distracted. Max tells Bradley he can go ahead and talk to Stacey about whatever was so urgent. Bradley changes his mind and decides to say nothing, Stacey then leaves. Max questions Bradley about his strange behaviour and Bradley decides to show Max the engagement ring. Bradley tells Max he wanted to propose the other night but Stacey went out with Becca. Then he tried again but they ended up having a row about Becca. Bradley reveals that he is concerned that Stacey tells Becca, “Things she should keep to herself”. Max tells Bradley to stop letting people get in between him and Stacey, that he should forget about Becca and go ahead and propose. Bradley is clearly troubled about what Stacey has told Becca but Max moves the conversation along to him and Tanya and how he hopes she might return to him. Meanwhile, Stacey, Charlie, Mo and Jean are discussing the re-naming of the business. In the hallway, Becca stops Stacey and asks if everything is ok between her and Bradley now. Stacey explains she just lost it at the church when Peggy was defending Archie’s character. Stacey looks alarmed as Becca tells her how she told Bradley he should have been more understanding of Stacey considering “All you’ve been through”. Clearly worried about what Becca has said to Bradley Stacey heads to the car lot to talk to him. In the office Stacey reassures Bradley that Becca doesn’t know all the details about what happened with Archie, she only told her about Archie being a creep and trying to take advantage of her, “She doesn’t know anything else – Christmas – the baby – none of that”. Bradley stays quiet then tells Stacey to sit down. Bradley reveals the engagement ring and she stares at him, shocked. Bradley asks Stacey to keep the engagement a secret and the couple kiss, at which point, as things become more heated, Max nearly walks in to find them semi naked. Bradley and Stacey head back to the house to be greeted by a small celebration as Max has told everyone about a possible engagement. Fetching champagne, Max goes to answer his phone, its Abi and she want to come home to live with him, because she hates living with Tanya. Stacey corners Becca in the hallway and warns her to keep quite about what Stacey told her about Christmas, Archie and the baby. Becca agrees but Stacey looks nervous, wondering if she can trust her.
