Bianca and the kids need to use Carol’s shower, but Connor’s in it. Carol sends them away claiming the bathroom’s being fumigated. When her £400 winnings disappear, Carol wrongly suspects Connor. Ricky’s annoyed when Connor starts working in the Arches. Whitney’s clearly still besotted with Connor, which makes Carol feel guilty. She gives Bianca her £400, telling her to fix the water and buy Whitney something nice. Carol apologises to Connor, but that evening he walks out because Carol isn’t taking him seriously. Carol follows him downstairs. Connor accuses her of never letting her guard down. Carol denies it, kisses him passionately and starts pulling off his clothes. Delivering a card for Carol, Tiffany looks through the letterbox and sees them. Kat, Alfie and Charlie worry about Jean. Manic, Jean sets out to erase every trace of Stacey from the house. Jean gives Ronnie piles of Lily’s clothes. Ronnie’s kind to Jean. Jean eventually admits her tablets aren’t working. She realises she can’t give up, but needs to go away and get better. Ronnie waits with Jean until her care co-ordinator arrives. Jean’s driven away, clutching a jacket she knitted for Stacey, when she was a baby. Kat’s contractions start again. Alfie, Charlie and Mo whisk her to hospital, but the midwife sends them all straight home again, Kat’s still in early labour. Jack’s not back yet and Roxy’s still not talking to Ronnie. When Edward tries to collect money for the church organ in the launderette, Dot criticises his style and he snaps back, rudely. Later, at the Community Centre Edward apologises for being grumpy, it’s the anniversary of his wife’s death. Dot enjoys chatting with Edward and listens to him playing the piano. When she leaves she takes his collecting tin – Walford’s full of charity.
