Jane vehemently defends the twins in the face of the cheating allegations. Suspicious, Ian confronts Lucy but she protests her innocence. At the school, Mr Allcock provides glaring evidence to suggest that Lucy cheated. As Peter performed better that expected he is to be investigated too and if found guilty, both will have to re-take their exams. Lucy’s left feeling guilty when Peter says he won’t perform as well if forced to re-take. As Jane plans her complaint to the exam board, she’s exasperated to find that Ian is more preoccupied with meeting Kelvin. A shamefaced Lucy comes clean to Jane about her cheating. Alone with Zsa Zsa, a distressed Jane says she can’t believe Lucy lied to her. Misunderstanding what Jane’s referring to, Zsa Zsa says she can’t believe Lucy had an abortion and passed it off as a miscarriage. Heather wakes next to Minty, certain he regrets it. She’s panicked to find George struggling to breathe and takes him to the doctor’s. George is found to have a cold. Despite Minty’s supportive presence, Heather pre-empts being let down and advises him to tell Sam how he feels. Minty returns, insisting he wants to be with Heather. Unable to deal with Bradley’s ashes, Max returns them to a stunned Dot. Vanessa urges Max to deal with his emotions and think about scattering the ashes, but Max is unyielding; the ashes aren’t Bradley. Max begins to unravel, venting his frustrations on Darren. Realising his behaviour, an emotional Max seeks out Dot and suggests scattering the ashes tomorrow; Bradley’s birthday. Roxy cajoles Christian into joining her for a wild night out. Tamwar voices his reservations over Christian, but Syed assures him that Christian’s well behaved. He’s proven wrong when Christian and Roxy return home in a state of drunken disarray.
