Zainab is panicked, experiencing excruciating labour pains and trying desperately to get out of the office. Upon finding Leon and Lucy together, Ian angrily tells Leon to stay away, not realising Lucy is pursuing him. Ian grounds a defiant Lucy. Masood, Syed, Tamwar and Amira are heading out to a function to serve food. Masood ushers Tamwar out before he has a chance to check his emails and find the rescue plea from Zainab. Syed sees Christian going to the Vic and stalls his father, eager to talk to Christian. They chat, and Christian seems saddened by how torn Syed is between his family and their friendship. He hurriedly leaves the Vic. Jean remains optimistic that Stacey will be fine, while Mo and Becca do not think they should have left her alone. Charlie goes out to look for her. Ronnie packs up her things at the Vic to move out. Jack sits with her despairing, missing Bradley and not knowing how to move on. Ronnie suggests that their heartache might bring them together, which makes him angry. Jack accuses her of abandoning her family and calls her damaged, leaving her shocked. Dot and Dotty prepare for the arrival of Dotty’s mum. Dot is now calling Dotty Kirstie, her real name. Christian goes to the Unit, ready with a speech ready for Zainab telling her that the accusations must stop. She tries to tell him to go, but he hears her screams and breaks the door down. She is stubborn and arrogant, telling him to go. He calls Syed and tells him to get Masood there, but refuses to leave her. Jean verbally attacks Max in the Vic – he knew the police were after Bradley. If anything happens to Stacey, Jean will blame Max. Max tells the whole pub that Bradley did not kill Archie. Carol calls Rachel, Bradley’s mum, to tell her the news. Masood gets to the Unit to find Zainab in excruciating pain. Zainab is not happy that there are so many men around her. Syed and Christian leave Masood with his wife as they wait for the ambulance, who reassures her that she can do this – she has no choice. Masood delivers the baby under instruction from Christian who is on the phone to the emergency services. The baby arrives, and it’s a little boy. However, he is limp and not breathing. Christian shouts instructions to Masood who attempts to revive the baby. After a tense wait, the baby finally screams into life. Amira arrives and Christian leaves, knowing he is not part of the family scene. Zainab and Masood name the baby Kamil. Shirley visits Mr Alcock, the headmaster of Walford High, to talk about getting Zsa Zsa into school. The meeting goes badly, with Shirley verbally attacking the head and accusing him of writing Zsa Zsa off when he is dubious about her commitment. Shirley marches off to The Vic for a drink, telling Phil she has blown it but does not want Zsa Zsa to end up like her. Phil goes to visit the headmaster. Dotty’s mum, Sandy arrives at Dot’s but does not yet know that her daughter lives there. Dotty, now dressed as a normal little girl, reveals herself and mother and daughter embrace happily. Sandy says she has herself sorted and just wants Dotty to come home with her. Bravely, Dot packs Dotty a bag and tells her to go with her mother. Dot contains herself, but it is clear that she is beside herself with grief as she ushers her granddaughter from her house. Max is bordering on mania as he packs up all of his and Bradley’s possessions in the car lot office, including a photo of them together, and a bunch of leaflets advertising ‘Branning and Son’. He sits on the floor as Carol enters. She is obviously concerned for him. He asks her why he is unable to cry. Becca and Jean visit the police station, knowing they have no other choice if they want Stacey back safe. Syed tells Amira that he wants them to have a baby. Seemingly frightened by this thought of them having a child so soon, she remembers that she has forgotten to take her pill as Syed tells her that they could be pregnant already. She escapes to the kitchen closely followed by Syed who is shocked and confused to see her taking her pill.
