It’s the day of Bushra’s party and Zainab grows increasingly nervous about having to sing in front of everyone. Thanks to Christian, Amira appears and sings in Zainab’s place. She gives a perfect performance, much to Bushra’s approval. Impressed by Christian, Bushra asks why he’s still single. When Christian replies that he hasn’t met the right man yet, there’s a shocked silence. Bushra declares: “Your poor mother.” Christian’s wounded when Zainab scolds him for flaunting his lifestyle. Asking Syed if he feels the same as Zainab, he replies that it’s against Islam. Christian leaves: betrayed and insulted. Later at the unit, Christian challenges Syed about his views. Syed angrily pushes Christian against a wall and kisses him. Denise finds Chelsea’s goodbye letter. Denise snaps at Lucas: it was his lecturing and lack of support that drove Chelsea away. Denise begins to question her relationship with Lucas, but he reassures her they are meant for each other and that Chelsea will be fine and will come home when she’s ready. Patrick’s face drops as he spots Trina watching on. Peggy sounds Jack out about his intentions towards Ronnie, and reveals that she found the engagement ring. Jack promises he won’t hurt Ronnie. Excited, Peggy declares that she’s organised the engagement party for Monday, so Jack should ensure he proposes before then. Whitney reveals Debra’s key to Libby, who suggests that perhaps the key is to something Debra left for Whitney. Whitney goes to Debra’s house. Returning later, Whitney tells Libby that she couldn’t try the key as Debra’s house has been burnt down. Stacey returns to work, but Jean thinks it’s premature. Stacey receives a blow when Bradley asks for a divorce. She masks her disappointment but later breaks down as she sits looking at Bradley’s wedding ring.
