EastEnders - 18/12/2008

Despite Pat's discouragement, Ricky and Billy call round synagogues to find out where Janine is getting married. Pat doesn't care but Patrick points out that she must do as she's getting so worked up. Ricky discovers the wedding is in half an hour and he and Billy set off. They enter the synagogue and see Janine walk down the aisle. The ceremony begins and Ricky stresses that they should do something. Ricky's mobile goes off. It's a message from Pat. She's on her way. Pat arrives to see Janine has married David, an elderly man. Pat announces that Judith is called Janine and she's as Jewish as a bacon sandwich. Suzy lies to Phil about her doctor's appointment. Archie overhears and scoffs at her pregnancy lie. He's got the measure of her and keeps her hanging. Later Suzy joins Phil in the Vic and Archie reveals that he thinks Suzy has an announcement to make. Suzy's in even deeper as they toast to Suzy and Phil's baby. Roxy's frustrated that Sean has disappeared. They're meant to pick up Amy from the hospital. Roxy discovers Sean cleaning out her drafty old car and is astounded. She insists that they're going in Archie's car but Sean believing that Archie has muscled in again stresses that this should be their moment. He storms off incensed. Roxy fed up, heads off to the hospital with Archie. Reverend Stevens pops into the launderette looking for Dot. He reveals to Heather that he received a substantial amount of money for the Church's roof restoration fund and he's sure it's from Dot. Heather mentions about the Christmas tree lights. Rev Stevens visits Dot and thanks her for her generosity. She can afford her gift and he's grateful. Dot doesn't want people to think she's showing off but Heather knows.
