Calling Lauren’s bluff, Max drives her to the police station – she might as well give the police the recording now. Lauren doesn’t go in, but is determined to keep the phone as an insurance policy in case Max ever lies to her again. Abi tells Vanessa Max and Lauren are probably arguing about Stacey. Stacey sends Max a text ‘call me’, Lauren reads it. Vanessa tells Stacey things between her and Max stop now. Stacey finds Max, but with Lauren’s nearby Max turns on Stacey, telling her to get out of his life. Max tells Lauren he’s done what she wants. Eventually, she hands Max the phone and he deletes the audio file, unaware that Lauren has a back up copy. Scared, Stacey finds Ryan in the Vic and makes him kiss Lily. Later, Jean, Max and Ryan discover that Stacey and Lily have disappeared. Shirley and Phil argue about the coat, Shirley won’t back down but when she looks outside, the coat’s gone. Julie arrives at Billy’s stall wearing the coat. Roxy’s received a large tax bill. Hearing Billy question Julie about the coat, she once more suspects Julie of stealing her money. Roxy tells Phil and Shirley she’s selling the house. Shirley demands her coat back from Julie. Shirley gives Heather a loan and shows her the money she and Phil have stolen. Billy walks in and sees the cash. Afia texts Tamwar, Darren makes him call her back. Tamwar feigns illness so Zainab and Masood will go to Bushra’s party alone, then meets Afia at the station. Afia’s not impressed by his new look, but kisses him passionately. Back home, the kissing continues. Afia decides she wants to put eyeliner on Tamwar. Unfortunately, Zainab and Masood arrive home early; Tamwar claims to be helping Afia with her coursework.
