Chelsea meets a battered and bruised Ellis, but he doesn’t reveal the culprit. Lucas later tells Chelsea that whoever beat up Ellis obviously had his reasons. She’s taken aback by his reaction, but Lucas insists she should face up to her problems. Chelsea’s offended at being written off by Lucas, and she later confides in Tanya that people are so quick to judge her that she doesn’t see any point in proving them wrong. Denise tells Chelsea that they all love her despite her slip-up. Chelsea later posts a letter through the door, before getting into Ellis’ car and driving away. Libby is put out to find Whitney working at the car lot. Overhearing Libby, Whitney quits. Libby apologises and tells Whitney to keep the job. With Libby’s encouragement, Whitney opens Debra’s envelope and finds a key. Zainab is furious to find out that Christian agreed to her singing as entertainment for Bushra’s party. James tells Christian he should be settling down with someone by now. His words hit home. Mistrustful of Jack, Peggy and Aunt Sal go for dinner at Ronnie’s and fish for information about him. When Ronnie nips out, Peggy and Sal snoop around Jack’s flat and find an engagement ring. Jean fusses over Stacey in an effort to stir her from her trance-like state, but Stacey remains unresponsive. Tanya quizzes Jean about Stacey, but Jean assures her that she’s fine. Bumping into Dr Jenkins, Tanya asks after Stacey and he reveals he hasn’t seen her. Dr Jenkins later sees Jean and suggests she bring Stacey to the clinic. Realising that Tanya must have interfered; a furious Jean goes to give Tanya a piece of her mind. Jean is troubled to find Stacey watching old videos of her and Bradley.
