Jack’s angry, Ronnie explains she persuaded Sam to lie because she couldn’t handle sharing him again. Sam brings the baby to see Jack. She suggests the three of them move in together, but Jack doesn’t want her, he’s with Ronnie now. Ronnie tells Sam she’s pregnant. Ronnie sees Sam spending Jack’s money on herself. She gives Sam some baby clothes and tries to persuade her she can cope on her own, suggesting if she were Sam, she’d forget the baby’s father. Later, terrified by the contents of Richard’s nappy, Sam begs Charlie to take her to the hospital. On the way, she tells Charlie the problem, Richard’s poo is green! Charlie assures her that’s completely normal. Feeling clueless and alone, Sam tells Jack and Ronnie she can’t bring the baby up on her own, she wants them to have Richard. Heather and Minty’s situation confuses the vicar. When he asks if they’d consider remarrying, Minty changes the subject. Minty panics when he sees Heather wearing, then later cutting up, her wedding dress. Heather explains she and Dot are making George a christening gown. Heather tells Minty she doesn’t want a casual relationship, for George’s sake. Minty assures Heather he’s staying with them for good, Sam overhears. Charlie, Patrick and Jim have a drink. Kim’s inspired to turn Patrick’s sitting room into a bar, Denise isn’t happy. Heading home, Charlie’s accosted by Sam. He agrees to drive her to the hospital. Realising there’s nothing really wrong, Charlie tries to turn his taxi around and reverses into a pile of boxes. A policeman watches and follows Charlie home. Liam bunks off school, he’s got no friends. Ricky lets him spend the afternoon at the Arches. Shirley guilt trips Roxy into giving her some money and persuades Pat to sell the Arches back to Phil.
