Ronnie and Roxy have a stressful day, preparing for R&R’s opening night. Glenda gets in the way, so Roxy sends her to help Peggy in the Vic. Shirley leaves Glenda alone in the bar; Phil comes in and empties the tills. Peggy’s furious, and throws Glenda out. Roxy’s full of sympathy for Peggy and the girls invite her over to help at R&R. Glenda’s annoyed and feels pushed out, the girls don’t need her. She goes shopping and brings them both back the perfect outfits for the evening. R&R opens, the champagne’s flowing and everything’s going well. Peggy and Glenda start bickering – Peggy accuses Glenda of not really know anything about the girls, how could she when she ran out on them. When Glenda insists Archie pushed her out, he’d already replaced her, Peggy realises Glenda knew what Archie was doing to Ronnie. Whitney’s mourning the end of her relationship with Billie. Bianca gets Lewis’ number for Carol. Carol pretends not to be interested, then calls Lewis and leaves him a message. Whitney and Bianca give Carol a makeover. Bianca and Carol head for R&R, but an insensitive comment from Fat Boy gives Carol’s confidence a knock and she returns home. Whitney reveals that Lewis has phoned. Phil gives Rainie the money he stole from the Vic to buy more crack. Heather’s worried about the impending eviction. Shirley makes Zsa Zsa stay in the flat. Peggy refuses Shirley’s request for an advance on her wages. The bailiffs arrive. Darren tells Jodie he’s going to a conference in Bognor. Max takes him to hospital to be circumcised. Harry discovers where Max lives. Later, seeing Darren heading into the house, Harry threatens him and knees him in the groin. Darren sinks to the ground in agony.
