It’s the day of the salon auction. Roxy reveals that she plans to stop Ronnie buying Booty by bidding herself. Danny talks to Roxy about bidding tactics, advising her to set a limit. The auction gets underway with both sisters vying to outbid each other. Roxy gets carried away and flouts her bidding limit, despite Danny’s protestations. Roxy eventually outbids Ronnie, having paid well over the odds. Later, Ronnie gloats at having forced Roxy to pay an extortionate price. Ronnie later sees a little girl at the tube station. The girl reveals she’s looking for her father, before showing Ronnie a photo. Smiling, Ronnie says she knows the girl’s father and will take her to him. In an effort to win back Shirley, Phil gives her flowers but she’s unimpressed at the shallow gesture. Having so far drawn a blank with Shirley; Phil later returns with a tattoo of her name on his arm. Amused, Shirley relents and kisses him. Mistrustful, Heather later confronts Phil, warning him against hurting Shirley. In an effort to protect Lucy from being bullied about her pregnancy, Ian decides to keep her at home. They decide to speak to the school to discuss the situation. Having returned, they inform a stunned Lucy that she’ll be home-schooled. Denise and co set to work in the Square. Lucas is horrified to see Denise attempting to dig around Trina’s tree and urges them to start elsewhere. Having completed their planting, Denise isn’t sure they’ve done enough and suggests a fountain. Lucas is unnerved when Denise says that Roxy’s agreed to fund the project. Ricky reveals to Minty that he can’t afford to keep Billie on. Minty urges him to act like a boss and not to run the business as a charity.
