EastEnders - 16/01/2009

Stacey tries to cancel Jean’s care manager, Elaine when Jean’s mood starts to improve but Mo tells her she can’t cancel her now because she’s already there. Stacey tries to convince Elaine Jean is getting better but Charlie and Mo disagree and tell her they think Jean is a danger. Jean comes downstairs and overhears Mo, Charlie and Stacey arguing. Elaine agrees to leave Jean in Stacey’s care. Jean wanders the streets in her night clothes. Stacey finds Jean lying in the road. Mo helps Jean home but tells her she has to sort herself out for Stacey’s sake. Jean locks herself in the house. Stacey, Mo and Charlie break in and Jean tells Stacey she has done something for Stacey. Jean voluntarily admits herself in to a psychiatric unit. Jean is driven away by Elaine and Stacey breaks down in tears. Ronnie secretly calls Danielle’s Dad, Andy. Danielle enjoys spending the day with Ronnie at R&R’s but is shocked when she returns to Ronnie’s and finds her Dad waiting for her. Andy pleads with Danielle to come home but she refuses. Andy leaves. Danielle lies to Ronnie that Andy told her to have an abortion. Ronnie reveals to Danielle that having her baby was the biggest mistake of her life. Devastated Danielle books herself an abortion. Denise is still furious with Lucas for not telling her he was married to Jordan’s mum, Trina. Lucas apologises and ends up grabbing Denise and passionately kissing her when she refuses to listen. Suitably calmed but frustrated after her passionate kiss, Denise complains about her no sex before marriage situation to Zainab. Later Lucas is surprised to find Denise taking out her frustrations on an exercise bike. Jay treats Marissa to a new winter coat. Whilst still suspicious of his motives Marissa is grateful.
