Mo is fed up with Stacey’s behaviour but Charlie defends her. Stacey makes a scene at Booty when she can’t get an appointment. Tanya tries to calm her down but only Jean is able to pacify her. Lister tells Stacey that she has lost her stall but Jean stands up to him so he gives her a final warning instead. Jean persuades Stacey to stay home tonight but she gets bored watching TV and sneaks out. She goes to the Vic hassling people for drinks. She sees Max in the square and tries it on. When he brushes her off she heads out of the square alone. Max tells Bradley that he has met someone else. Tanya sees Max with the woman from last night. Bradley tells her it is good to see her and Max moving on. Abi invites Max over for dinner and Tanya mentions his new girlfriend. Max explains there is no girlfriend and admits to Abi there is no one for him but Tanya but he doesn’t want to upset Lauren. Lauren overhears this and tells Max she doesn’t want him to drift away. She calls Tanya into the room and tells them to stop playing games; Tanya and Max agree to go to lunch. Jack tells Ronnie this is the best day of his life. Later he arrives home with an engagement ring. Bradley is pleased things are back on with Syd. They have a nice lunch together but she suddenly rushes off and tells him not to call her again. Bradley is determined not to give up. Nick is continuing to try and confuse Dot. She is late opening at the launderette. Nick hassles Billy for the money and free drinks. Dot confides in Billy that she is worried she is making these mistakes because she is getting old.
